PragmaTools has been active on the Belgian market since 1998. The company was established by company manager Joep van Amelsfort.

Joep van Amelsfort had previously worked for auditing and accountancy firms for several years. There he obtained his extensive expertise in all aspects of year-end closing in business: tax, annual accounts, company tax declaration, minutes and reports no longer hold any secrets for Joep and he is equally knowledgeable about anything that can go wrong in these areas. From this experience, Joep started looking for a solid solution to the problems. This led him to CaseWare. The solutions offered by CaseWare met his requirements to such an extent that Joep decided to start working with them himself. On the CaseWare international platform Joep developed WinAcc, which was adjusted to the specific needs of the Belgian market.
